For the major in Mathematics Education (7-12), students should complete the mathematics major's required prerequisites and required mathematics courses, and choose the area of specialty in Mathematics Education. They must also complete the requirements [education courses (26-27 credits) and other requirements] for teacher certification(†).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

To fulfill their major requirements, all mathematics/mathematics education majors must complete
five credits of natural science courses that are acceptable for the respective science majors.
These courses also satisfy the General Education Requirement for the majors.
