Office of the Registrar
A registrar is an official in an academic institution (a college, university, or secondary school) who handles student records. Typically, a registrar processes registration requests, schedules classes and maintains class lists, enforces the rules for entering or leaving classes, and keeps a permanent record of grades and marks.
Registration and Advisement
Students must consult with their major department for Summer/ Fall Session Courses.
For all continuing York College students registration for the Summer Session and Fall 2008 semester begin on:
Monday, April 28th for Seniors
Tuesday, April 29th for Juniors
Wednesday, April 30 for Sophomores
Thursday, May 1st for Non Degree, Permits & Others
Continuing Freshmen must report in person to the Office of the Registrar with an approved advisor's form when registering for classes prior to May 1st. There will be no registration transactions on Friday, May 2, 2008.
Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores, must register using eSIMS. For information regarding the schedule of classes, please check Course Schedule.
Office hours during registration are:
Mondays and Thursdays: 9:00am - 6:30pm
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:00am - 5:00pm
Fridays 9:00am - Noon
Students who register for Summer Session I and I Extended must pay their outstanding balance by, Noon, Friday, May 23, 2008. Failure to pay the bill by that time will result in the automatic deregistration of the student’s class(es).
NOTE: Students who register for Summer Session I and Summer Session II concurrently, must pay their outstanding balance by May 23th. Failure to pay the bill by that time will result in the automatic deregistration of the student’s Summer Session I and Session II classes. (Students who want to pay their Summer Session I and II bills separately, may register and pay for their session I class(es) and then register for Summer Session II).
The first day of classes for Summer Session I and I Extended is:

Students who register for Summer Session II must pay their bill by, 02:00pm, Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Failure to pay the bill by that time will result in the automatic deregistration of the student’s class(es).
The first day of classes for Summer Session II is:
- Monday, June 30, 2008
