The Teacher Academy at York College provides an intellectually stimulating environment in which to master the professional qualifications needed to become an exemplary teacher in mathematics and science.
Are you a high school student or first-time college freshman talented in math or science?
If you meet the criteria for admissions, you may be eligible for benefits that include:

Located in Jamaica, Queens, York College enrolls approximately 6200 students. Our small college gives students an intimate setting to learn and grow, access to faculty, and opportunities to build long-standing relationships.
The Teacher Academy at York College provides an intellectually stimulating environment in which to master the professional qualifications needed to become an exemplary teacher in mathematics and science. Students have the opportunity to study with renowned educators and researchers in small, intimate seminars. In 2006, two professors of mathematics at York College received awards from the Metropolitan New York Section of the Mathematical Association of America: one for distinguished teaching and one for distinguished service.
