Bijay Jha, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Professions at York College, City University of New York. Dr. Jha received his PhD in Molecular Parasitology from Kyungpook National University, South Korea in 2012. He received his Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Science and Master’s in Medical Microbiology in Nepal. After completing his postdoctoral studies from Ohio State University, he joined York College/CUNY in the year 2021. Dr. Jha’s research focuses on the molecular mechanism of pathogenesis in Chagas disease. He studies the role of host autophagy against Trypanosoma cruzi infection.
