Dr. Valerie Esposito Kubanick has over 30 years of nursing experience that began as an LPN. In 1988 she earned her AAS and RN from CUNY Queensborough Community College, then BS and MS in Nursing Administration at Adelphi University. She is PhD prepared and has experience in both critical care nursing and med/surg, however she is an ANCC Board Certified Nurse in Psychiatry and Mental Health with extensive experience in all areas of inpatient and outpatient care. Dr. Esposito Kubanick has conducted research in Emotional Intelligence related to communication and nursing leadership. She has created and administered a series of seminars for the Tourette Association of America and presents Tourette Syndrome nationwide to healthcare providers, and high school and college students. She continually advocates for patients with disabilities through local, state, and federal agencies, and is the Assistant Director of the American Diversity Forum, Youth Division.
