Nkechi has focused her internship on observing, maintaining and advancing safety protocols within the Infection Control Department at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, She actively collaborated with healthcare professionals to apply best practices in infection control to enhance patient care and safety. This hands-on experience has provided her with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in ensuring safety in a busy medical environment and sharpened her clinical acumen.

Health Initiative Impact: Nkechi reaches diverse audiences through her YouTube channel and web-based articles, where she addresses and corrects common misconceptions about ADHD within communities. Her content advocates for a shift from a deficit-focused view to a strength-based perspective, emphasizing the unique abilities of people with cognitive differences. She encourages viewing people beyond the lens of "disabilities," and promoting understanding and appreciation of their strengths.

What’s Next: Nkechi is looking forward to starting her next chapter, which involves pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology. She aims to continue impacting the field of public health through health education and promotion initiatives.
