York OT Faculty Shines at AOTA Conference 2025

Congratulations to Dr. Clover Hutchinson, assistant professor in the Occupational Therapy program, who has been designated a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association (FAOTA).

Congratulations to Dr. Clover Hutchinson, assistant professor in the Occupational Therapy program, who has been designated a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association (FAOTA).

Dr. Hutchinson, an alumna of York College's Occupational Therapy program, explained that the esteemed recognition is given to occupational therapists who have made significant contributions to the field through knowledge, expertise, leadership, and advocacy; as well to those who have demonstrated a lasting, positive impact on the profession and those who benefit from occupational therapy services.

In addition to Dr. Hutchinson’s achievement, Dr. Marta Daly, assistant professor, presented two posters at the AOTA Conference:

  • “Learning, Stress, & Environmental Considerations: Identifying Opportunities to Support Student Success” — co-authored with Dr. Jacob Apkarian, associate professor in the Department of Behavioral Science.
  • “Building Study Habits, Stress Management Skills, & Peer Support Through a Supplemental Education Program for First-Year OT Students.”

The scholarly contributions underscore the excellence and leadership of York’s Occupational Therapy faculty on campus and on the national stage. Impressively, the designated salutatorian of the Class of 2025 is also from the OT program.
