Celebrating Long-Time Service at York College
Five years! 25 years! 40 years! 56 years of service and many years in between. It was a celebration to remember.
On Thursday, faculty and staff cheered, patted their colleagues on the back, and high-fived them repeatedly as they reached milestones in their different departments and roles at York College during the annual “Years of Service Employee Recognition,” celebrating long-time continuous service. More than 200 people were recognized with a service award as a way of saying “thank you.”
A special thank you to Carmel Boyle and the entire Department of Human Resources for organizing the event; Sandra Velez for her partnership in coordinating the event; Janine Scott, who supplied the speakers with key information in the celebrated years; Nicole Utley and Michele Hardy for their partnerships in securing gifts, Marlon Medwinter for his IT work; Bryan Graves, who provided music; Bella Lulu, provided the food and to Nyisha Howell, Dana Trimboli Nicole Beckles of the planning committee for all their support in making the event a success!
