Application Requirements

Fall 2008

Transfer students seeking admission for fall 2008 are strongly encouraged to apply online at www.cuny.edu/apply.However, if it is necessary that you use a paper application, one may be obtained by contacting the York College Admissions office via e-mail to admissions@york.cuny.edu or call (718) 262-5379.

Transfer students must submit the following:

1. CUNY Online Transfer Application
2. $70 application fee
3. Official transcripts from each college or postsecondary institution attended

Special Application Requirements:

• transfers with less than 12 cumulative credits must also submit an official high school transcript or GED scores and diploma.
• transfer to the SEEK Program is only possible for students who participated in SEEK, College Discovery, EOP or HEOP at a prior institution. 

Transfer Requirements

Transfer candidates will be considered for admission as follows:

• 2.0 GPA – 12 or more credits.
• 2.0 GPA – less than 12 credits plus 75 high school average or 2700 GED Score.
  

Application Deadlines

York College has rolling admissions but students are encouraged to apply by the suggested dates below in order to ensure early access to orientation programming and a full range of campus services.

For the Fall semester, apply by April 1
For the Spring semester, apply by November 1
