Introduction to Gaming Operations

Introduction to Gaming Operations is a free six-week course designed to provide an overview of casino operations. Program participants will be exposed to the casino's various departments including slot and table games, marketing, cage, security, hotel operations, human resources, and information technology.

York College Arch Day

Throughout the course, program participants will also learn about the many career choices available within the gaming industry. The course will culminate in a full property tour of Resorts World New York City, NYC’s first and only casino, less than 20 minutes away from the York College campus!

The course is open to the public however, seating is limited and based upon requirements met. This is a non-credit-bearing course. Upon completing the 6-week course, participants will receive a certificate of completion. 

Applicant Requirements: 

Age: 18 years or older

Residency: Residents of New York City or Long Island

Duration: Once a Week for Six Weeks (Thursdays, with one exception) 

*The last class will be held in person at Resorts World NYC on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11am.
