Student Activities

Student Government Association Election

Do you want to get involved on campus, develop your leadership skills, and participate in policy-making?  Do you want to represent the York student body, have a voice in the allocation of funds from student activity fees, participate in a campus-wide committee, or improve the student experience at York?  If so, please consider running for the 2025 - 2026 York College Student Government Association (SGA).

Minimum Criteria

  • Be matriculated at York for at least one semester and taking at least 6 credit as an undergraduate or 3 credits as a graduate student
  • Must be currently registered for classes during the semester in which they run
  • Have a GPA of 2.3 or higher and have not filed for graduation
  • Be able to hold the position for a full academic year

Interested students must view the York College SGA 2025-2026 Election Procedures and Regulations Video and complete the 2025-2026 SGA Candidate Interest Form by the deadline.

All interested students must fill out a Candidate Interest Form declaring their interest to run for SGA.

The Candidate Interest Form will close on March 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Campaign Violations

Any alleged violation of the campaign regulations (during campaigning or voting) may be submitted, in writing, to the Student Elections Review Committee (SERC) before the close of polls on the last day of elections. Complaints should be submitted to the Student Elections Review Committee (SERC).
