CUNY EDGE (Educate, Develop, Graduate, Empower) provides students with a range of services, benefits, and support to help them succeed in college and their careers.
CUNY EDGE is a partnership between the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) and CUNY that supports undergraduate students who receive cash assistance.
Our mission is to help these students succeed academically, graduate on time, and find employment.

Student Eligibility
- HRA assigns York College students on public assistance to the CUNY EDGE program and determines their eligibility.
- Students must be active Human Resource Administration (HRA) Cash Assistance recipients.
HRA Compliance: Keep your Benefits
- CUNY EDGE assists in maintaining HRA compliance
- Receive your HRA Carfare and Childcare in time for the semester
- Attendance monitoring and verification for HRA
Personalized Support
- CUNY EDGE provides individual and group advisement for CUNY EDGE students.
- Our advisors support academic, personal, and career exploration.
Financial Assistance
Eligible CUNY EDGE students can receive support for tuition during intersession and summer classes, transportation costs, and other essential expenses.
