State Aid
New York State administers several financial aid programs.
New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
The New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) provides grants to students to full-time students taking twelve or more credits applicable toward their degree program per semester.
Aid for Part-Time Study Program (APTS)
The Aid for Part-Time Study Program (APTS) is a New York State program for students pursuing a degree as a part-time student. To be considered for an APTS grant you must be enrolled for between 3 credits and 11 credits.
Excelsior Scholarship
The Excelsior Scholarship, in combination with other student financial aid programs, allows students to attend a CUNY or SUNY college tuition-free.
The José Peralta New York State DREAM Act
The Senator Senator José Peralta New York State DREAM Act gives undocumented and other students access to New York State-administered grants and scholarships that support their higher education costs.
Veterans
Veterans who will be attending York College are advised to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Other New York State Grants and Awards
New York State offers a number of special scholarships for students who excelled in high school, or who may be pursuing particular academic objectives in special programs.
